About Amy J. Stark - CranioCoach

My mission is to inspire trans-formative growth, long-lasting change and deep, physical healing for individuals seeking the most out of major life transitions. I am a Portland, Oregon based licensed massage therapist and transformational life coach.  While my connection with bodywork began in 4th grade, with a genuine love for massage and healing, my formal education began at the Humanities Center - Institute for Allied Health in 2003.  That experience built a foundation of Integrated wellness massage, incorporating myofascial release, trigger point therapy, positional release and muscle energy techniques.   I have continuing education in Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy from the Oregon School of Massage, where I am also employed as a Student Services Coordinator and Instructor.  Additionally, I've completed the Transformational Life Coaching certificate of excellence through the SouthWest Institute of Healing Arts to expand on the tools available to help you come to a place of healing in your life. As a transformational life coach, I bring a sense of humor and light to the challenging areas of your life.  The tools I provide not only open your body, but your mind and spirit to create momentum for change in your life.  My bodywork style is described as feeling connected, incorporating stillness-oriented craniosacral therapy, flowing strokes and passive stretching.  I use the bodyCushion positioning system for most sessions; a set of support cushions that help reduce low back pain and provide supportive cushioning for you during the massage, helping to ease you into a deeper state of relaxation.  You know your body best, and my philosophy is to listen to you and your needs for every session.  If you're feeling like you'd like to drift away in a state of bliss, attend to a specific therapeutic concern or combine the two, we'll make it work!  We can also explore combining my two specialties working with creating momentum in your life via coaching, then releasing obstacles with bodywork.  Let's create wholeness and health together!
